In Revelation 5, the Apostle John described a vision he saw of God sitting on his throne holding a sealed scroll.

John then explained that a figure known as the Lamb approached the throne and took the scroll.

In Revelation 5-1, the Apostle John records a vision that he saw in which he sees one seated on the throne in heaven holding a scroll in his hand.

And as the vision continues, John sees this figure that he identifies as the lamb, who comes

and takes the scroll out of the hand

of the one seated on the throne. And it's very clear from the context of John's description

of this vision that the lamb is Jesus. So taken at face value, isn't this passage then showing

us that there's a distinction between the one who's seated on the throne, who's God, of course, and the Lamb, Jesus Christ.

This is an important question, and we must look at the book of Revelation as a whole.
