Or let's look at Sheila Jackson Lee, who if we show up to vote will not be the next mayor,

but has been a face and voice in politics in this town for over 40 years.

Sheila Jackson Lee is not the best of our community called to lead. She's the worst.

Everybody's had a Sheila Jackson Lee at your office.

Everybody has had the person at your office who's abusive to subordinates, toxic for the culture, and constantly whining, complaining, demanding more money,

demanding a promotion, turning one against another,

and not smart.

You don't want her in your business and you certainly wouldn't let her lead

a small business.

She'd destroy it overnight. And yet we're talking about the

government of the fourth largest city. Is this the best we have? No, it's not.

It's a self-selection.

And I'm not saying many countries do get the best they have.
