Every day Brian Peacock here with you on this Tuesday episode of the show and Free Agency Period started with a

flurry on Monday. So much stuff going down around the league, guys getting paid

left and right, lots of dollars being thrown around by NFL franchises. The 49ers got in early and they

got a linebacker, something that I talked about yesterday on the show being something I thought

maybe was a little bit unlikely and would at least be behind a few other

positions in the pecking order of needs, but the 49ers went hard after linebacker from the

Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Kwan Alexander, who is a super athletic, a weak side linebacker, a very nice fit for the 49ers scheme.

The big caveat here is, well, first of all, money is quite large for Kwan Alexander to buy him away from Tampa, but the other thing is he's coming off an

ACL he tore his ACL in late October Prognosis still looks good for him to be ready for training camp. So hopefully for the 49ers he's right on that pace and he's just behind Jimmy

Gropolo and Jerry McKinnon as far as a C. L. recoveries go and maybe how good those rehab were going made them feel a lot better about giving

a Kwan Alexander a four-year contract worth as much as 57 million dollars

27 million of those dollars guaranteed and for a short time made him the highest paid

to linebacker in the NFL being surpassed multiple times as we go forward here through free agency

for linebackers. We'll be getting into a ton of Kwan Alexander stuff.
