Alright, let's look at John Chapter 5, verses 17 through 18 today.

We're looking at the issue of who is Jesus, really.

And we all have our stereotypical ideas.

We seem like every three or four years time magazine has a cover article in who's the

real Jesus, well today in John Chapter 5 verses 17 through 18, we're going to see one

of the fundamental things about Jesus that we all need to embrace and understand.

Now let me set up this scenario for you, Jesus has just healed a man.

And the Jewish authorities are upset because Jesus healed the man on a Sabbath.

And so first off, he encouraged the man to pick up his mat that he was lying on and to

walk with it and take it home, well on the Sabbath that was considered to be work.

And so the guy gets chided for it and when he says Jesus told me to do it, well they

come after Jesus for instructing this man to break the Sabbath.

But they're also upset with Jesus because healing a person like a doctor would do or something
