JOHN 10:19-20 - 19 There was again a division among the Jews because of these words. 20 Many of them said, “He has a demon, and is insane; why listen to him?” 21 Others said, “These are not the words of one who is oppressed by a demon. Can a demon open the eyes of the blind?”

| 0:00.0 | Hello, my friends. Welcome back to the morning mindset. If you're new with us today, I want |
| 0:08.6 | to welcome you. This is potentially a providential moment for you. Because today we are facing |
| 0:15.8 | one of the biggest questions that every human being on the planet needs to face. And that's |
| 0:21.3 | the question of who is Jesus. Maybe you've been wondering that. Maybe you've been curious |
| 0:27.1 | about them all your life, but you've never really known how to dig into the reality of who |
| 0:32.5 | Jesus is. Well, today we are going to go there. We're looking at John chapter 10 verses 19 and 20. |
| 0:41.6 | John 10, 19 and 20. Let's read it together. There was again a division among the Jews because of |
| 0:50.2 | these words. Many of them said, he has a demon and is insane. Why listen to him? Others said, |

| 1:08.5 | Now, friends, what we have here is a debate, kind of an internal argument that's going on between |
| 1:14.3 | the members of the Jewish leading class at the time. They were spiritual leaders, Pharisees, |
| 1:20.6 | Sadducees, the high priests. They were all, at this point, divided about who Jesus was. |
| 1:28.5 | Because Israel had been hoping for its Messiah for hundreds of years, |
| 1:33.0 | had been waiting on him to arrive, and there had been many false Messiah's as well. |
| 1:38.2 | So these religious leaders became quite skeptical and also quite protective of the flock |
| 1:44.2 | of Israel. They did not want people being led astray by some fake Messiah. |
| 1:50.1 | And we've got to hand it to them. That's a diligent attitude. That is a good thing for them to be |
| 1:54.4 | doing. But when Jesus came on the scene, he was different than those other so-called Messiah's. |
| 2:00.7 | He was the real deal, or at least that's what he claimed. And these religious leaders are |
| 2:06.7 | debating amongst themselves, trying to figure it out. Now, some of them, who for whatever reason |
| 2:12.6 | are feeling opposed to Jesus at the moment, claim he's demon possessed, and he's insane. |
| 2:19.8 | They shouldn't be listening to him. Now, why would they go all the way to the extreme of him |
