We are picking up a day four of our Holy Ambition devotion on the Bible app.

The scripture is Hebrews chapter 11 verse 1, and it says this, faith shows the reality

of what we hope for.

It is the evidence of things we cannot see.

I love that verse.

The devotional's title, a radical faith, and it says, what is radical faith?

It is choosing to step out to fulfill God's clearly defined will at possible personal

risk and sacrifice.

Nehemiah was a dramatic example of that kind of faith, even if he was full of fear.

Four months had passed since Nehemiah had heard about Jerusalem.

He undoubtedly was asking God to show him what to do.

God did more than that.

The way he worked behind the scenes would change the course of Jewish history.

But Nehemiah didn't know God was preparing the King's heart.

He only knew that he had to trust him and take a huge step.
