Card and today we're looking beyond Westminster, exploring devolution of power to

Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. And later we'll be catching up on some of the wackiest moments of the week, but first.

Never let anyone tell you that independence is separate from people's daily lives and

concerns. It is fundamental to their lives and their concerns. It is about

where decisions about Scotland are made, decisions over our economy, our health service, our living standards. So in July the 4th, I'm asking you to vote

SMP. That's John Swinney, leader of the SMP at the launch of their manifesto on Wednesday.

Look, Scottish Independence clearly has pride of place on page one of the SMP Manifesto,

but it might not be the issue that matters most to Scottish voters

and it certainly might not be enough to override a bad year for

the SMP with finance scandals and the defenestration of Humsie Yousifers leader.

Despite aspirations for independence remaining strong amongst the public in

Scotland more than a third of 2019 SMP voters are moving to another party

according to a poll on Tuesday from you Gov. The polls suggest that they're moving to

labor and they're doing so because they want to affect the party that becomes the

new UK government. As always take polling data with a pinch of salt. These are

just a snapshot but even if independence isn't the biggest issue of of nations. Just a reminder for any of our international listeners when we talk about devolution

we're talking about the ongoing process of Westminster ceding decision-making power
