Welcome back to Buckeye Talk.

It's a special Saturday Buckeye Talk. We are in a Zoom with our

tech subscribers and we are wrapping up, not the Ohio State National Championship game because we kind of

covered that, but the season. We got it, we got to talk about this season and everything that happened during this year, this wild year that nobody will forget.

We know from corresponding with some textures that people to some degree are maybe ready to move past the Alabama game because I think we kind of have an idea of what happened there.

People are looking forward to next year a lot of interesting questions about this team.

We have NFL decisions that players are making right now. We'll lead off with some of that and then Nathan

Baird has come up with a bunch of categories to kind of help us go through this

season what surprised us what didn't surprise us what all meant, we'll have some fun doing that.

Stephen Means, as we do this, is covering the end of an Ohio State basketball game.

So he's got two things going on at once.

We have a subscriber who is on a chairlift on a ski slope in Utah, so people have things going on and it's my daughter's birthday tomorrow. So I have to go out and try to buy her one more present when this Zoom is over. So Nathan, let's start here first while Stephen's wrapping up basketball.

Thayer Munford coming back, announcing that here on Saturday.

And I think when we, when the word came out that the NCAA was basically saying this this year does not count against your eligibility at all and we had a discussion about well how much is that really going to matter how many players are really going to come back for this

bonus fifth year if they're good players, right? If you're going to really put off

the NFL for a fifth year, Nathan, the idea that Fayy or Munford is coming back, I don't know everybody who has said that or not. I think it's very possible that Thayer-Munford might end up being the best player in the country that takes advantage of this. That he is a full four-year guy, never redshirted, three-year starter, played really well this year,

really well this year. And he's coming back again. This is huge for Ohio State. It fits right in this window of if this wasn't a pandemic year. This would not be an option for him.
