Three minutes after ten is the time, and at some point in the course of today's program, presumably either the negotiators operating on behalf of the European Union Commission will, what were the words they used?

People like Andrew Bridgen and Marc François and Marcus Fish, the EU will blink first.

That's going to happen while we're live on air today, presumably.

Or the German car industry will come galloping to our rescue and insist, insist to Angela Merkel

that the United Kingdom manages to retain its single market

membership, or at least all the benefits thereof, without having to obey any of the rules,

as Lord Digby Pudding Jones has contended over the years. So I might just sit here and wait,

because one of those things has to happen today.

Either the German car industry gallops to our rescue or the EU Commission blinks first.

Or, of course, all of the people who told you that either of those things were going to happen are wrong.

Completely, categorically and demonstrably wrong, which begs the question, why would anybody still listen to them?

Why, when I turn on my radio this morning, do I hear Marcus Fish bloviating about why...
