Boris Johnson quoted, reported to have said, let the bodies pile high in their thousands.

This remark said to have come after he reluctantly imposed the second lockdown.

And then a story that I suspect would have garnered a heck of a lot more attention if there

weren't so many splinters of shrapnel spreading all over this developing circular firing squad.

Johnson also, it has emerged, and this isn't alleged, allegedly or reportedly.

This is a statement of fact, a statement of record that hasn't been opposed.

Sat down with Edward Woodward, Woodward, who you'll remember was until the debacle of the so-called European Super League,

was the sort of head honcho, the head UK honcho at Manchester United, just days before the launch of the controversial European Super League.

So, perfectly possible, of course, that he sat down with Edward Woodward, Woodward, and neither of them mentioned the single most important item of

information in possession of at least one of them. Perfectly possible it didn't come up at all.

Also perfectly possible that Johnson has done what Johnson does. And tossed a coin, shouted heads and tails,

and then done a quick lap of honour, however it landed.

Did he give the nod to Woodwardward? I do not know.

Did he come out objecting to the plan as soon as the public fury had been established?

Oh yes, he did.
