Well, you know, I got a couple of tweets over the weekend about, oh, you know, trolling me,

and I can take it. I'm a big boy. You can find me on Twitter at Pete Mondo. And first off,

I got some blowback for my picks this week. I went two and three on the picks. I hit KU covering against Texas.

I hit Baylor covering against Oklahoma State. I lost the TCU K State overbet. I lost the Iowa State

Texas Tech underbet, and then I lost West Virginia covering against OU. Let me just point this out

real quick. If Austin Kendall hits Letty Brown in the flat for five yards, which was a wide open

pass, West Virginia covers in those final couple of minutes. Terrible pass by Austin Kendall.

And then if Iowa State does not have a holding penalty called in garbage

time against Texas Tech in the end zone, Tech doesn't score its final touchdown on my underhit.

So, you know, I mean, I was close, man. I know it's not horseshoes, but geez, I was right there

on those picks. I was literally two fluke plays away from a four in one week.

The K-State TCU over was a bad job by me. It was looking good early, but such is life.

But one thing I got flack for on Twitter, I got this from a couple of people,

saying the worst take I had this off- season was that the conference has closed the gap

with the big two in the big 12, meaning OU in Texas.

And I'm going to defend myself on that one.
