1:18.0	with the first being my mother, Allah, and her family,
1:21.0	who emigrated first from Russia through St. Petersburg, where they lived,
1:27.2	then through Yugoslavia and finally to the United States. Also I was brought up as a Russian Orthodox and I was enriched by its long history as an intricate
1:38.4	part of Russian culture.
1:41.2	The second person was my college professor back in 1977, Dr Paul Averich.
1:47.0	I so wanted to be a Russian history professor, but Dr. Averich said my Russian was strictly Kucnyruzki or Kitchen Russian.
