Hey, what's up, everybody? Welcome into Tom Carren's Patries Talk podcast, joined as always by the indefatigable Phil Perry.

We also have Chris Berman joining us today, ESPNs, to give us some perspective on Bill Belichick,

the Patriots dynasty, and the unusual spot New England finds itself in.

So Phil Perry, when we look at the Patriots roster,

we've talked time and time and time again. It's not that talented. They don't have a lot of good

players. It's a problem. And I thought it'd be fun. And you agreed with me if we went through the

roster and said, who are their best players and stacked them up figuring

out what side of the ball they're on where are their areas of need you love this idea didn't you

it's great idea and i think we are we are for the most part sharing a brain when it comes to this

roster and the talent on it so my guess is our lists aren't going to look all that different.

But once you get past the first few, Tom, it sort of pick your flavor because you're

dealing with a lot of C plus players.

Yeah.

And a lot of these guys, and we will mention them as we go along, have expiring contracts.

So while they are, say, for instance,

as I have friend Brown at number five on my list, he's up. And the number six guy is up as well.

But let's get to him. And let's both go through our top fives. My top five, Phil, actually, you know,

let's be a nice host. You go first. Wow, that's so nice of you. My top five is going to start with Christian Barmore. From there, I'm going to go with the other Christian, Christian Gonzalez. You might say that's a little early, Phil. I don't care. Then I'm going to go with Matt Judon. Then I'm going to go Romandre Stevenson. And then I'm going to go Trent Brown with an asterisk.

Because you need healthy slash motivated Trent Brown if he's going to be in your top five.

But that's my five.
