And now, the founder of Whitetail Landscapes, your host, John Teeter.

1:06.0

Hi, I'm John Teeter, White Tail Landscapes. This is Maximizer Hunt. Welcome back everybody. Hopefully everybody's doing well. I've been on the road quite a bit, and I'm back on the road this week. I'm cutting timber the following week on a client property with my partner. And I've had some chainsaw issues, so I've got to work through those here this week before my trip. Of course, you know, stuff, after a couple of years, most of these chainsaws are kind of, I don't know, I don't want to say dead news, but generally in my field, they need to be replaced. And, you know, for those that are buying equipment or buying quality equipment, I always recommend buying, you know, a pretty decent chainsaw, having a big saw, having a little saw. I really like some of the smaller saws for a lot of cutting that we're doing. On this new property that I'm working on, we're putting in a bunch of slash walls, timber management, you know, the whole nine, and really kind of just designing a property that flows and functions a lot better based on the adjacent hunting pressure. And that's something that's impacted a lot of my clients.

When we sit down with the client, the first thing I kind of go through other than the eight page

2:10.8

I kind of go through this whole checklist myself.

2:12.9

But I kind of look at what are we trying to achieve and where the individual neighbors that are adjacent

or in the immediate area that can, you know, align with our objectives. That's a huge piece of

2:23.7

buying land as well as designing hunting properties. And I find a lot of landowners, you know,

2:28.7

that I'm working with just don't have either those relationships or knowledge, especially if

you're a recent landowner,

2:38.7

you know, what is the neighborhood like? Are they aligned with your goals? You know, do you have similar interests? I mean, is there something that can connect you so you can learn more? And I think

before you purchase a piece of property, be sure to, you know, kind of have those deeper
