Welcome to Lurie Breaks It Down, a podcast where we dig deeply to connect the dots on the

0:17.6

controversial issues that are shaping our world.

I'm Lurie Daniel Favors,

0:22.7

author, activist, and host of the Lurie Daniel Favors show on Sirius XM's Urban View,

0:28.5

Channel 126. I've only been doing these podcasts for a little while now. And one of the things

1:48.9

Now, in some iterations, he said if you don't understand white supremacy or racism, because those words can be used interchangeably.

1:55.3

The ultimate point is, however, if you don't understand racism or white supremacy, how it looks, how it functions,

2:03.0

its role in society, then what you think you understand about any topic is going to be a little

2:08.7

confusing for you. And this is a quote that I use a lot because quite frankly, I have heard
