Hi and welcome once again to History Twebes. I am Tim, and the topic of our podcast today is White Rose, the execution of Sophie Scholl.

Sophie Scholl was a young university student in Germany during the Second World War, who was an active

member of the White Rose Society, which was a resistance group.

And we're going to talk about her story, kind of a sad story today, Colonel.

But we'll get to that in a minute. Before we do, let me introduce my co-hosts, the very charming and debonair, the moral compass

uh, with the history stuff.

Now, I know, you, at, you, you were a little confused yesterday because I told you we were

going to cover the white rose society. I do know everything about arranging roses and floral patterns.

I know you were doing some research on Axel Rose.

Axel Rose?

Yeah.

And then, of course, when you said Rose, I naturally went to Pete Rose, the Hit King.

Yes.

But you've got to straighten now.

You know what we're talking about. Well, because you threw me when it said the White Rose Society and I was like, well, hold on. Everybody likes Pete. Yeah. Everybody likes Pete. Pete. It's universal. I'm not sure that's true. Yeah, you got to love Pete. Yeah. Those are from Cincinnati, he loved Pete anyway. Yeah.
