Summary

Following through on a campaign promise, President Biden announced Wednesday that he would be forgiving $10,000 of federal student loan debt for borrowers earning less than $125,000 annually. With the Biden administration's approval rating suffering in recent months due to high inflation, many wonder how the loan forgiveness will impact the country's debt. Jared Bernstein is a member of the President's Council of Economic Advisers. He joins the Rundown to discuss the impact debt forgiveness may have on inflation in this country, concerns over fairness to taxpayers, and questions about the rising costs of higher education in America. During the withdrawal from Afghanistan last year, on August 26th, 2021, a suicide bomber attacked the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul, killing nearly 200 people including 13 US servicemembers. A year since this tragedy, Fox News Foreign Correspondent Trey Yingst has returned to the region to report on what life is for Afghans now under Taliban rule. He joins the Rundown to break down what happened that day at the Kabul airport and the common struggle of Afghans still unable to leave the country. Later, Trey highlights issues of widespread starvation and subjugation of women in Afghanistan under the Taliban regime. Don't miss the good news with Tonya J. Powers. Plus, commentary by Fox News Contributor Tomi Lahren. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
