As Washington battles with regulating AI, the White House hosting some top executives

from some of the companies at the forefront of that development.

That includes leaders from Microsoft, Open AI, Google, and Entropic.

And that is the focus of today's tech check with Megan

Kisella. Hey Megan. Hey Carl good morning so we are here at the South

entrance to the White House just outside this morning as we're waiting for that

meeting to get going as

for who's gonna be here we know that as you said Sam Altman of open AI

Ruth Poirat of Google dario Amadee of anthropic and some leaders from

Microsoft as well are expected to be here to talk about

building out the infrastructure needs for AI, the data centers, how they're going to

get money behind that. As for the administration, neither President Biden nor

Vice President Harris is expected to be in the meeting.

We do know Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo, Energy Secretary

Jennifer Granholm, and some top White House economic officials.

Lail Brainard and Jared Bernstein will be there for the administration.

We've also been told that

open AI did commission an economic study they'll be talking about in there,

talking up the positive economic impact of GDP and job growth for building out these

data centers and even highlighting China's role here too and China's focus on building out these data centers and even highlighting China's role here too
