Alright guys, we are live, welcome to episode 3365, it was survival podcast, I'm excited

about this one, Miles Lagose and hopefully if you can correct me if I said his name

or I think it's the right way to pronounce it, we'll be on with us in just a minute.

Miles is an amazing dude, he was a filmmaker, a United States Marine Corps documentarian

that was behind the lines for, I think was 2010 to 2011, sometime in that range in Afghanistan.

And you know, put the work by the military to document things for their purposes and

manage to get basically all the footage off the cutting room floor, the stuff that you're

not supposed to see.

He made a documentary, critically a claim documentary back in 2018 called Pombat Obscura.

He has a book coming out in just like a month and a half from now, we'll be talking about

that too, further documenting what it was really like behind the lines.

I was not heavily involved with any kind of combat or anything in my military time, but

I wasn't the United States Army for a few years back in the early 90s, I did one really

long deployment.

And one thing I can tell you for a fact is a lot of kind of the cutting up, the fact

that you're sending people out into the world who are in some levels of lessons and some

of the stuff that goes on, you know, not during combat, but people keeping their heads,

it's completely spot on and it's not new.

And so this is going to be a fantastic interview and if you really want to understand, and
