He'd been saving up for months, and in just a few hours, he'd been on a plane to England, his clean slate, his big adventure.

He was tired, but buzzing with excitement.

As he clocked out, one of his closest coworkers, Francis stopped him.

I'm going to miss you so much, Kyle, she said, pulling him into a hug.

Francis laughed softly, but as they pulled apart, her face lingered with a strange seriousness.
