This Whiskey Quickie, we're going with another crowd favorite, and this is Elijah Craig barrel proof.

Now, this is the A120 release, which means the first release for 2020.

Now, this particular release comes in at 13 136.6 proof. It's, uh, its age is 12 years,

which is the last of the remaining Elijah Craig at 12 years. And a quote from our good buddy, Fred Minnick, he put, this is pure bliss. It's a must sip. Hmm. Sounds like I should go to the spa.

Fred's got away with words, but I love them.

So let's go ahead and we'll dive in.

On the nose?

Get some cherry, a little tobacco, kind of some deep, you know, blissful things.

Leather, all those pieces to it. Absolutely. So on the taste.

You know, it's really good. It's got, it's got more cherry than I'm used to with

Elijah Craig barrel fruit, not frus, barrel proofs.

Typically you get like peanut butter kind of nutty notes on this. This one I get like a lot more

cherry tobacco leather. It's like an old man's bourbon. It's still very peppery, spicy.

You know, even when you said peanut butter, I didn't really get it until like you just said it,

but it does come off like the back palate a little bit. You get a little bit of that as well. Yeah, this is something you can

just sit in a leather chair and like read books about nothing and just sip your whiskey. And the finish

barrel proof? Still going. That's what we love. So let's go ahead and write this on the nose. Thumbs up. Taste. Thumbs up. And the finish.
