Welcome into another edition of the Pack aay podcast. I, of course,

am one of your co-host, Matt Frailk, alongside me, Eli Berkowitz, and rejoining us, Janelle Mackie.

Janelle Mackey is obviously a frequent co-host of Packaday podcast with Eli and myself on Saturday,

but she takes a hiatus, just like some other people on Packaday during the draft time, not their cup of tea. We open the doors for people like Rob Rieger and company to join us. So, Janelle is back in the mix. You know, it's always fun to get you back into the fold here because it's like, Eli, myself, Rob, whatever. It's like, I feel like we're just so like ingrained at the draft season and mock drafts and who did what. Like last week we went through like the NFC North and like look at all their grades and like just like everything. Like re bring, rebring guests on or you talk to other people. You get a different perspective of whatever else is thinking. So not that you're a guest, but you're bringing a fresh perspective of what the last couple weeks of the Packers have looked like.

What have you observed?

The Packers drafted a kicker.

There's some impact with the special teams unit this week that we'll get into.

Got a couple corners overall.

A lot of the fan base and the people covering the team like ourselves and Packer Report and she's at TV love the draft.

National media, on average, given about a C plus.

So we're perfectly where we should be in the first or second week of May.

Yeah, and good to be back.

I'm going to try and shake some rust off here as we get through this podcast.

But yeah, I mean, not having a first rounder, I feel like it definitely makes it a little less exciting just in like a, you know, when you overlook at everything, not having a first round pick, you know, not something we're unfamiliar with just because we've, you know, traded out of the first round in the past. But it is very different, you know, going from last year's dynamic in Green Bay. You get the first round, wide receiver. Like, there's all that excitement. And then this year was kind of a little bit more laid back. It feels like, you know, like you mentioned, I'm not like a deep diver in the draft. I'm much more of a see who we get and then see if they turn into a diamond or a dud. Anybody can be either. So I don't get too high and mighty on players going into it. I'm just kind of, let's see

who we get. I'll support them. See how things roll out here. But yeah, I mean, they targeted a few

of the positions that I think were really important. Obviously, the cornerback position,

the center position, I feel like I've mentioned a lot where it's like, didn't have a center at the end of the season. So kind of needed to figure that out and whether that works out. That's going to be, you know, that's kind of one of your most important positions on the field, especially in those trenches. So I think that's going to be an important one to look out for. But yeah, realistically, it's just seeing, you know, how these guys fit into those rooms, kind of what they start to bring once they're able to start doing their practices and everything like that, do a little bit more media, get a sense of their personality. It's just kind of going to be that exciting time where we're going to slowly start to see these guys integrate themselves into the Green Bay culture and then kind of get a feel for, you know, are they going to see field
