He is Daniel Gowan, and we've got a lot to discuss here on the latest episode.

We are going to work our way through a bit of a stock report for the 26 Penn State football roster.

Players on the rise from offense and defense, we can go pretty long in this

conversation, but I asked Daniel to write down six names for himself on offense and another six

on defense. I've done the same here. So if we repeat each other, we'll just agree with each other,

talk about that guy and a little bit more in depth. But I'd imagine there are going to be some

differences on this list because it was a pretty big spring for progress for a team with 50 new players, a new coaching staff.

So a lot to get into here.

Of course, this is not quite a complete roster at this stage.

There are a few freshmen heading to town this summer to enter the mix before preseason camp. I've got a piece

up on Wednesday at Lines 247.com breaking down those four incoming freshmen, what they're going

to mean for their position groups, where they're coming from in terms of background. That's

a discussion we'll pick up on the next podcast early next week with Tyler Calveruso as well.

We're planning to put some focus on some of them because they'll be here before you know it.

And then this will be essentially a complete roster.

But Daniel, as I mentioned, there's a lot to work our way through with this group because

five weeks of on-field work started to really turn the wheels a little bit in the context of who some of these players

are, transfer players, guys who've been around campus for a little bit, even some freshmen that

I think we'll probably get into here on the discussion. And so kind of a fun exercise for us as

we're both gearing up for vacation in our own right to kind of empty the notebook a little bit on a
