The NHL trade deadline is coming up on March 6th.

There's a roster freeze coming up on February 4th for the Olympics.

And while we're not certain what the Blackhawks are going to do,

there are a handful of names that just seem to not go away on the big trade boards.

Yeah, it's the ones that we've been talking about for a while.

Jason Dickinson and Connor Murphy lead the way

for guys that you expect the Blackhawks to move. They're on expiring contracts. We've already

heard from multiple, you know, insiders and people around the league saying that, you know, their sources are

telling them, Blackhawks have been getting calls about both of those players. So it's not surprising.

They have skill sets that contenders look for at the deadline. And for rentals, like, it makes sense.

As much as I think we've, we've liked Jason Dickinson and Connor Murphy in the times that they've been here, what they've brought as far as veterans, as far as leadership.

You know, I specifically can speak to Murphy and how he's been a person in the community in Chicago since he's been here. He's, I think,

the longest tenured Black Hawk currently and the longest since Jonathan Tays left the team.

So, you know, he's, he's been around for a long time, 530 plus games.

But I think it's, it makes the most sense from a hockey standpoint and a business standpoint to give him an opportunity elsewhere to contend and actually play real playoff hockey for the first time in his career.

I think a lot of what's going to dictate what the Hawks do at the deadline, too, is where

they're at the standings, right? Like currently with last night's point against Tampa Bay,

they have 50 points. I think there are four points out of the playoff spot. So they're,

they're right there. They went a month without Connor Bidar. They went a month without Frank Nazar.

So I really think this concept that there might be an early trade deadline before the Olympics, before February 4th.

I think Kyle Davidson is going to wait to see where they're at.

I don't think he's going to, I don't think the Hawks will be in a position where he's ready to make a decision yet by February 4th unless something goes really really good or really really bad but
