Although I must confess, you find me in contemplative mood. I am yet to decide for certain what

we're going to talk about today. I know, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. But there's a lot around and some of it

I don't know necessarily lends itself to the phone in format.

For example, what is going on in China is a question to which I would very much like to hear

an answer, or indeed some answers, but I don't know that many people, myself included,

are particularly well placed to provide them. I have some fears. Whether or not we should be worried about what is going on in

China with regards to lockdowns and crackdowns and indeed lockdown crackdowns and crackdowns.

There's a lot to find out. I liked the story yesterday. I think I misused the word loophole.

A few of you were a bit cross with me about that. It's not a loophole

to walk slowly in the road in order to hold up traffic and avoid getting arrested. It is a simple

matter of protest. And you know why I use the word loophole because they've been getting

arrested to just stop oil protesters and they have been relishing the prospect of being arrested and now they have found a way of causing a comparable

disruption without running the risk of being arrested so I kind of that's not what I meant but I am drawn

to that story I've got a level with you I am increasingly enamoured of protesters, but I'm also conscious of two things.

Number one, I have not yet been seriously inconvenienced by them myself. And number two,

the more it goes on, the more likely it becomes that that horizon event, that black swan will happen and, you know, the, the, something terrible

will happen as a consequence of the disruption caused by the protest and it will immediately

be seized upon and, you know, you worry slightly about having a head too far above the parapet

in the event of something awful happening.

But we'll talk about where it's going to lead and how it's going to end.
