It occurred to me just before the show started, Chris. If I were at a movie, if I were to plunk down my $10 or whatever

it costs nowadays to go to a theater, get a popcorn, get a soda, settle in with my spouse

to be entertained by a film where you don't sign a contract.

You basically accept the implicit understanding that you're going to suspend your

disbelief.

Everything you're about to see is fake.

And on the other side of that arrangement, they try to get you to suspend your disbelief with something that isn't

completely implausible. That's the balance. If it's so obvious that you're being fooled,

you no longer want to be fooled, even though you willingly go in to be fooled.

And I say all that because if I were at that movie, with the popcorn, with the soda.
