Welcome to the Boneyard with Steve Robertson. As always, I am your good friend and host Steve Robertson. On the rare Saturday edition of the yard, I was going to record last night. I said, you know what, let's get through these Saturday games and kind of get a clearer picture of where things stand with the college baseball tournaments around the country. And we've done a lot of research.

A lot has happened since we have been together.

We're going to recap a little bit of the SEC tournament.

We're going to look at how it's impacted, the potential hosting sites.

And it's so interesting, you know, a lot of people go to Hoover,

you know, with different motivations.

You know, Mississippi State really wasn't in a position to host.

And, you know, it became a moot point with the game won loss.

But a lot has changed.

You know, one of the things, kind of the subplice of the whole Hoover thing is what happens

between the 16 and 14 teams, Alabama, Tennessee, and Ole Miss.

Ole Miss entered the week with the weakest of those three teams resumes.

Well, now, here we are Saturday night, they have the strongest resume among those three teams.

That's why you play. And it's so interesting, a lot of people say, oh, no, Hoover doesn't matter.

No, it matters. For teams that are playing for something, teams that are playing to be a potential

top eight national seat or a host location, a team that's trying to play their way off the bubble.

Yeah, those games matter.

But there are other teams kind of like us that don't have a lot to gain in Hoover.

You know, I mean, short of winning the SEC tournament championship, there's not a whole lot

you can do to improve your standing.

But we'll recap the days and we'll kind of talk about what it all means.
