Good evening. It is so good to be with you this evening. I have a message tonight. I know

that Pastor Robert has been preaching on worship and I have a message tonight that I really believe

lends in really well with what he was speaking on last week

about talking about worship comes from our hearts.

If you have your Bibles there, you'll turn to 2 Corinthians, chapter 12.

And this message is called where weakness wins.

I want to talk about our weaknesses.

And dealing with our weaknesses in a way where the devil can't, where they are not accessible to the

devil for him to use them to beat us over the head, to try to get us to be condemned or to reject ourselves, hate ourselves, but specifically not to be able to do what God wants us to do with our lives, to become the people that God has called us to be.

The Apostle Paul now, we're going to read 2nd Corinthians 12, before we read this, I want you to know why

he wrote this.

He was writing this because he was under attack. He was the

apostle of the church at Corinth and Pastor Todd was saying that Trinity

planted Gateway. Well he planted this church and this was his church and because you know they didn't have

jets and cars and things like that he had to physically travel by foot or by

boat or by horseback or whatever and it took a long time so he was gone a lot.

Well in his absence he wrote

letters that most of our new testament is made up of letters from the apostle Paul to

his churches. Well the the book of 2 Corinthians is written because in his absence other men came into the church

and they were saying the apostle Paul is not a good apostle and he should not be your apostle we should be your

apostle and they're criticizing him and saying a lot of ugly things about him so he's

having to come and defend himself that's what we're going to read here in just a second, is his defense now of his apostolic
