There are no shortage really of places to buy house plants these days online at the

big box stores at a local nursery stealing them from your friends stealing cuttings.

I do that a lot foraging from the wild who knows.

So what we're talking about today with Kelly Evans of a greener room who is a plant

consultant and a stylist Kelly, you know, where did you get plants maybe when you started

and then where do you get them from now?

So I think like a lot of people when I first started I got them from big box stores

and I know a lot of people get them from the big box stores, you know, like and in my

town for quite a while that was really the only place to get plants.

So the one issue there's a few issues with getting them from the big box stores and

I'll just let you know a few of those downsides now.

But one is I find that a lot of the time and not always but a lot of the time they're

not even really labeled like I don't know if you've noticed if you go to somewhere like

home people sometimes it's literally just labeled tropical.

So people just don't even know what plant they're buying and this is like really important

thing is knowing what plant you're buying so you know what it needs.

So I would say that's like kind of the main problem sometimes and if you don't know

how to identify plants easily like of course if there's a snake like it seems like everyone

knows what a snake plant is so yeah if you're buying a snake plant or certain succulents

but yeah when you get into other varieties a lot of people don't know what they're buying.

So I would say that's the biggest downside but also you don't know when the shipment came
