This game on Sunday afternoon between Sean Manaya and Logan Webb was shaping up to be just your typical boring crappy met loss.

Think about how this entire game played out and then imagine

That someone would tell you over the course of the two and a half hours you wasted your life on a Sunday afternoon watching the

Mets that it would actually end in a victory. You'd be stunned. You wouldn't believe

him. But think about this game. In the top of the second inning,

with Sean Manaya on the mound, he gives up a lead-off double to Matt Chapman,

and then proceeds to look like if he was going to get through the inning.

Gets one more floras to ground out, gets Jorge Salaire to line out, very luckily right at Pete Alonzo.

And then Thomas Nido, who I compliment myself, I've done a very good job of not killing over the last couple of weeks, makes a great block on a bowl in the dirt, and then decides, let me try

to pick Chapman off third base. And while doing it, throws it in the left field.

1-0, San Francisco.

I mean, so typical of the worst defensive team in Major League Baseball

that a guy who's actually pretty good defensively

makes a miscue on two levels A the mental mistake of even trying to pick off Matt Chapman

off third base,

which I don't think you had a chance to do.

And then secondly, the physical mistake

of throwing it into left field.

So you're down 1-0. Now luckily the Mets take advantage of some sloppy San Francisco

defense in the bottom of the second inning when Logan Webb can't make the play on a ground

ball to first base and then there's that guy Harrison
