travelers in this world, and God has many wonderful truths to teach us along the way. For the next

I think with all of our technology and social media,

somewhere we've lost what it means to sit down with a piece of paper and express our thoughts

to someone.

In an old-fashioned letter, some time ago I said to one of our children, I want you to write

a letter to a person.

And they looked at me like, what's a letter?

I think we need to get back to some of that, frankly.

There's something healthy about being able to sit down and just write.

When you come to the New Testament, you find a collection of letters.

Now, we call them epistles today, but that's what they are.

They're personal letters.

And many of them are written by the Apostle Paul.

One of Paul's letters stands out above all the others as the most personal.

It is, in many respects, a letter to friends, a love letter, if you will, a letter of tenderness and encouragement, of great blessing,

a letter to bring joy. It is the letter to the church at Philippi. We call it the book of Philippians,
