Summary

As the search site turns into a dig site, Jón’s family await news of the search. If Jón is found, it will end all hope and a new chapter of grief begins. And as we near the end of this series, new tips continue to emerge. With everything that has been uncovered, Jón’s family ask that his case is now upgraded to a murder inquiry in the hope that they finally get some answers.

0:07.0	Some breaking news this lunchtime in the case of an Icelandic man who went missing in Dublin five years ago and hasn't been seen since our crime correspondent.
0:16.0	By the afternoon of Tuesday, February 13th, 2024, just hours after the search for
0:23.2	Joanne's remains had started, news of it was breaking in the media, including on RTE.
0:31.0	Santry Domain is a public park, so people walking and cars driving at the other side of the
0:37.0	lake could all see the Garda search activity.
0:40.8	So what's the development of this lunchtime?
0:42.8	Well, the Gardi have commenced searching a public park with forestry and a lake in Dublin as part of this investigation.
0:49.6	The Garthi at Balimun are supported by the underwater unit and specialist cadaver dogs.
0:55.0	Now the park is approximately three and a half kilometres from where Mr. Yonson was last seen.
1:00.0	If you keep going the direction he was last seen walking, you will eventually come to that park in Santry Domain.
1:07.0	By that evening, some of the Irish tabloids were reporting the story with what appeared like further new information about Yohn.
1:15.4	It's understood officers believe he had lost thousands of euros while playing poker in Dublin before his disappearance,
1:21.9	and was meeting someone to get access to Moor Cash.
1:25.7	But it feared the meeting erupted in violence,
1:28.5	and Mr. Jonson was killed before his body was dumped
