Summary

When we are faced with a crisis, it can feel paralyzing, confusing, and painful. We all respond differently to seasons of suffering. We may even question God’s goodness as we walk through trials and hardship. But is that the right question we should be asking? As Christians, we know that God is always present with us, but it can still be difficult to know what to do. With everything that is happening in the world today, we invite you to join us as we discuss how we can look to Christ even in the midst of crisis.     6:40 - How do we define a crisis? 8:55 - How crisis impacts us  15:22 - Why we should have a biblical perspective on crisis 23:05 - What Scripture says about God in times of crisis  44:45 - How the gospel informs our perspective    Sign up for the brand new Daily Grace Podcast Newsletter and receive the free resource "Scripture for Every Season.”   Resources mentioned in this episode: Starbucks Non-Dairy Hazelnut Creamer Songs of Hope playlist in this week’s Daily Grace Podcast newsletter Medic Corps Faith Questions: Suffering Jesus Storybook Bible Tim Keller’s sermon on John 11   Scripture mentioned in this episode: Romans 8:22-25 Matthew 16:18 Exodus 2:23-25 Romans 2:5-6 Psalm 9:7-10 Daniel 2:21 Psalm 89:14 Psalm 115:3 Acts 12:5 2 Corinthians 1:3-5 Mark 14:36 John 11:1-44 Revelation 21:1-5 Psalm 112:6-7 Related Resources: Blog: Worrying and God’s Providence Bog: When Life Doesn’t Go as Planned: Surrendering Our Hopes and Dreams to God Blog: What to do When You Feel Disappointed by God Blog: A Prayer for When the World Feels Heavy Episode 112: Searching for Control in an Out of Control WorldEpisode 54: Hope in Suffering with Katherine and Jay Wolf   Connect with us: Subscribe to Daily Grace: on iOS, go to our Apple podcast page and click subscribe.
