absolutely convinced to make sense of the world in 2024 must include making sense of AI artificial intelligence.

I think there is this common feeling that AI is like a tornado that has hit us.

It's like a tornado that has hit us with great force, unpredictability, and a sense that we're being swept up and almost without our choice.

It's taking us somewhere.

I know that's my emotional feeling about AI is the sense of like, hey, I didn't choose this, I didn't design this, I'm not sure I want a world that is dominated by AI.

This is all happening to me. It's taking me somewhere without my sense of choice or agency.

And so when you layer on the sense that socially,

as a society AI is taking us somewhere,

we also have to add on this extra question

that's crucial to the mission of the Good Faith Podcast,

which is not just where is AI taking us socially,

but where is AI taking us spiritually as well?

Because I firmly believe every technology has some spiritual impact as well.

And so I've been wanting to do this episode for quite some time

around this question, where is AI taking us spiritually?

But it's taking me a while to get to this topic.

And the reason is because it requires some very special

guests. It requires guests who are able to track this tornado that is AI and by that I mean

track it technologically because it's happening at such speed with such

rapidity that not a lot of spiritual thinkers can even track the latest developments of this
