I'm not about to paywall all the back catalog. That's four years worth of paywalling. I'm not going to do that. I'm not a monster. But where are all the episodes? Why aren't they here? Tanner, you bought the show back and now all the episodes are

gone. What are you up to? So before I explain where they are and how to access them, which

isn't any special or unique kind of way, you can find them right here on Spotify or wherever you're

already listening, I want to explain why I have done this. I started this podcast in January of

2022. That same year, it was acquired by

Glassbox Media Company. Now, Glassbox wasn't great. I didn't enjoy working with them. So I left.

The people were fine. I just didn't like the influence that Glassbox had over the show. And in

particular, I didn't like the ad stuffing that was going on. So, I walked

away. Then, not very long afterwards, I partnered with Evergreen Media Company, also known as

Front Porch Media. That was in 2023. And in 2024, they formally acquired the podcast and all of its

intellectual property. So not just the podcast, but everything that practical stoicism does under that name.

A year later, which brings us right up to last year, the end of last year as it happens,

I didn't like how this was working out.

The show was nosediving in listenership due to an insane amount of ads being stuffed into every episode,

and frankly, an inability for Evergreen to benefit the show in any

meaningful way. They were supposed to help market it and grow it and they didn't do that.

They were supposed to find places for me to be interviewed. They didn't do that. They really didn't

hold up their end of the expectation, let's say. And so a great deal of money was spent in buying

my podcast and all of its intellectual property

back. And on December 31st, 2025, which was just a few days ago, practical stoicism became once

more an independent podcast owned wholly by me. Now, in the background of all those years,

parallel with them, in fact, happening at the same time. I ended a 14-year relationship with someone I had been with for, well, like I said, 14 years. I moved to the United Kingdom from the United States. I co-authored and published a book about stoicism. I met someone new. I got married, and I became a father for the first time of my life at the ripe old age of 40. Then I moved to
