All right. Well, we're starting up a series that we're calling Chasing

Huckleberries this week, so kind of excited about that. I remember when I first

moved to the Northwest and we're just here in Huckleberry, Huckleberry, Huckleberry, Huckleberry,

Huckleberry, the only two things that I could think of that would,

you know, when I did a Google search in my mind for Huckleberry

was to think of the book of course by Mark Twain, right?

The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn,

and I didn't think that was what people were talking about.

But the other thing, and probably the closer

to my heart association, is of course the great movie Tombstone and

Doc Hollidays nicknamed for Johnny Ringo you know you're Daisy if you do you know

huckleberry I mean I'm your huckleberry I just love so much about that. I won't like lock down that that's why we named our daughter Daisy but it is and and so anyhow that's what I was thinking about,

but people were always talking about picking huckleberries

and chasing huckleberries.

I lived in the Pacific Northwest for 10 years,

believe it or not, before I ever picked a huckleberry ever ever in my no a whole decade and I don't

know what's wrong with me obviously a lot but I I recently during the the break that I had from preaching during our summer reading series,

and how great was that summer reading series by the way?

My gosh.

And during that time I, you know, I had a lot of time on my hands like what am I doing I don't have any messages to prepare and so I picked a huckleberry and I liked it and

So I decided I'm gonna preach on huckleberries because the person who I was with was telling me all about them.

And the more I learned about them, the more excited I got about this treasure that belongs to the west coast, the west side of the United States, the Huckleberry.
