Deep-fried turkey, watch a little football, it's warm here in LA.

It was a nice Thanksgiving.

The football was on all day in my household as and you know I have young kids so we're like

figuring out sort of our traditions but beautiful here in California.

Hard with young kids yeah my niece you know it's hard to they don't always like Thanksgiving food there's a lot of

mashed potatoes oh yeah my kids ain't absolutely nothing that I spent all day sleeping

over you can't be too hard on yourself you know know what they're more excited for? Black Friday because that's when, you know, I'm getting the gifts.

Right, exactly. And that is what today, that is today's story to kick off of the holiday spending season a time of gifting and discounts and when a lot of retailers do a significant portion of their business this year.

The theme we think is going to be tighter budgets and discounting.

We should say that this holiday season there's a lot of uncertainty around it

and you've had a fair amount of warnings from retailers.

And I think one thing is clear though is that people are looking for more discounts.

That's what you hear time and time again from analysts, from CEOs.
