John 316, are you there? I'm there. It says, for God so loved the world that he gave his

only son that whoever believes in him should not perish, should not perish, but have eternal life.

The Bible declares that the wages of sin is death.

And for our own error and our wrong and our sin we have to pay a punishment

for that unless there could be one amongst us who was fully man and yet fully perfect, therefore fully man fully God

without sin who could take care of your sin and mine. And tonight many people in

this room are celebrating that fact.

That we actually believe that we are all broken,

that we all have our issues, challenges, and difficulties,

but Jesus came, lived the perfect life, gave his life on our behalf.

So if we simply believe in him, we will not be punished and we will not perish for our

sin, but we will spend eternity with him and that is what we like

to call good news and I love the word whoever in John, who ever, whenever, wherever, who ever simply believes and to believe

does not mean you have to earn it or deserve it or even understand it all, it simply means you just receive the sacrifice of Jesus

and your life by definition is rescued and saved. That is the essence of what I believe.

It has framed my life.

It has shaped my life.

It has changed how I have friendships.

It's changed my marriage.

It's changed how I'm a dad.

It's changed. I was gonna say it's changed me as a golfer,

but it really actually hasn't yet changed that area of my life.
