Summary

In this first episode of After Hours With Amanda, I’m sharing the heart behind the podcast: parenting tiny humans with empathy, humor, curiosity, and a lot of “we are doing our best” energy.

I talk about why I started the show, how motherhood shifted the way I see kids, and why my parenting style is less about a label and more about humanizing children.

This is not expert advice. It’s lived experience from a mom learning out loud about big feelings, giving kids a voice, and becoming the kind of parent who repairs, reflects, and keeps trying.

You can expect a podcast dedicated to changing your perspective on parenting and frankly, just like sharing my life. I am not an authority. I am not 100% foolproof. I do not know

0:50.4

at all. I have no degree in psychology. I only have my learnings with my three kids,

0:58.0

my growing up experience, and my desire to share with you all. And the fact that I have no

pride or shame in that, I think that that really helps. Because I'm not here to impress anyone.
