Summary
Gavin considers himself a skeptical person. He prefers facts over assumptions and has spent years trying to find a logical explanation for what happened when he was a child.
He still hasn't found one.
One evening, after their mother went downstairs following an argument, Gavin and his younger brother followed a few minutes later to apologize. The problem was she was gone.
The house wasn't large. The doors were locked. And no matter where they looked, they couldn't find her. Then they heard something that made the situation even stranger.
It was their mother's voice.
What happened next has stayed with both brothers for the rest of their lives and remains one of the few experiences Gavin simply can't explain.
