Where do you typically walk?

I thought you would enjoy hearing how others are answering that question.

This is a daily 10-minute podcast designed to provide you with a little added motivation to get out and take the walk.

Today's 10-minute walk starts right after this. So where do you

typically walk? It's one of the questions in the walking survey. You're invited to take part

in that. Still time. There are 11 questions. Eight of them are multiple choice, three are open-ended.

A lot of folks have responded. The average amount of time it takes to complete the entire survey

is about three minutes, so it really doesn't take all that long. I thought you might enjoy hearing

how folks are answering one of the questions which is where do you typically walk.

So it's a multiple choice question, six options, but then there's also a seventh option if the six

don't adequately describe where you're walking. Option number seven is other. It's open-ended so you can

describe where you're walking.

So of the six options, I thought I'd let you know how folks are answering from number six to number one.

Number six, no one. No one has picked this. Zero percent.

Use this as where they typically walk. And that is on a treadmill at a gym.

Number 5, and it's less than 1% who say this is where I typically walk.

I do wonder though if time of year would change this answer. In other words, if the survey were out, say in three months,

I suspect that this answer would probably have more people saying, yeah, it's where I typically

walk. But number five, right now, less than one percent say they typically walk at the mall.

Number four, and this is just shy of 3%, they say I typically walk on a treadmill in my home.

So there are folks using treadmills, but the location is the difference maker there number three and it's
