Summary

I LOVED this conversation with Sarah Molitor from Modern Farmhouse Family. We talk through the way words, anger and lashing out can be a pattern we despise in our homes. Just reading that may bring up some shame in your heart, and if so, this episode is for you. She is filled with such grace as she shares about her own experience with this struggle.

We also take time to remember how powerful words can be in a positive way. She encourages us to look for opportunities to speak life over our kids and families, and enter into their own sin with loads of grace and forgiveness.

My favorite part is when Sarah shares a really pivotal moment in her marriage when it so easily could have fallen apart. She gives us all hope that hard family moments and seasons aren’t the end of the story. You will feel so seen through her story and vulnerability.

It's so very important for me to honor God with my family and the two kids that he's given me.

0:18.6

But honestly, it's not always neat or easy or tidy,

0:22.0

but it's always worth it. So join us every week to laugh and learn together on this beautiful and

0:26.5

messy journey of parenting.

Okay, get pumped and maybe get a tissue. I really cheered up twice during this one. So Sarah Molitor with Modern Farmhouse family is adorable. Y'all, she has seven kids. Six of them are boys.

0:51.6

And then spoiler alert, the last one is shocking. And she has a viral video that

0:56.7

shows the video of when they all found out they had a baby girl coming. And she said she was so shocked.

1:01.7

So you got to go watch that. Millions of people have seen it. In fact, I knew once I was staring at

1:06.0

her face, I'm like, I've seen her face. And it was because I'd seen that video. How crazy is that? But she talks all about

1:11.4

our words today and I have two people on mine that I really wanted to make sure you listen

1:15.2

all the way through. For those of us that have a little fiery temper that have used our words

1:21.4

to hurt people or lose our temper. And I know for my friends and I that talk about it, there's a lot

1:26.4

of shame there. And it's like, will I ever be better than this?

1:29.2

And she is.

1:30.8

And she has been, I almost said healed, but she has had freedom and come on the other side

1:35.9

of being trapped by just the cycle of anger and words.

1:40.1

And so you will love how she talks about just how we used our words to speak life, how she uses her words to even come up with a nickname for her kids.

1:48.8

Like she'll talk about helpful Hudson as something they just came up for one of them.

1:52.5

And then they did nicknames for everybody and how that's really, they've resonated with those and really stepped up to their nicknames.
