0:59.8	to you and for you and in you when you were saved. When you placed your faith in Jesus Christ,
1:07.6	today we're looking at 2nd Corinthians chapter 5 verses 18 and 19. And the Apostle Paul
1:14.8	writes this, he says, all this is from God who through Christ reconciled us to Himself and gave
1:23.8	us the ministry of reconciliation. That is, in Christ, God was reconciling the world to Himself,
1:31.9	not counting their trespasses against them and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation.
1:39.8	Now, there's a big word in there, reconciled, reconciliation. What in the world does that mean?
1:47.1	Well, the word reconciliation is a relational term. It has to do with how you interact with another
1:55.8	person and whether that relationship is close or distant or divided. You see, before we placed
2:04.1	our faith in Jesus Christ, and we were sinners just living here on planet earth, all alone, all in
2:11.4	our own power, all in our own steam, trying to live the kind of life we felt we should live.
2:16.6	We were separated from God. We were actually not just separated. We were actually at odds with God.
2:24.0	It's like we were two opposing forces in a battle on opposite sides. And I don't know exactly
