So I want to start today with a little story about something that I saw recently online

that harkened back to something that I have alluded to in previous podcast episodes. And that's

basically like, what the hell are we doing when it comes to how we are dealing with masked men

who don't seem to have any identification on them that they're willing to give or even have to

give if they were willing,

being able to basically snatch people up off the streets. And I'd mentioned this before in a

previous episode, but I'm seeing more and more of this that's making me realize this is really

something that we're going to have to unpack. A few days ago, I was watching and scrolling on,

you know, the Twitters and the blue skies and all the spaces, the spoutables, all of it. And I came across some videos that were looking at an incident that was absolutely terrifying. There was a four-year-old little girl and maybe like a 12-year-old or maybe a 13-year-old cousin or sister also with them that had just been snatched off the street. The entire community is out and you hear a lot of

people speaking a mixture of English and Spanish and so this is obviously a diverse community.

And as the people are coming out, what we were able to see on the social media post was basically

images of the four-year-old little girl being strapped into a child seat, a car seat in the back

of the truck,

screaming bloody murder as four-year-olds are wont to do regularly, but certainly when a

bunch of strange big men with masks on and these big weapons have just bodily moved you

away from what was safety into a vehicle and you don't know where you're going.

The other child that was with

them also screaming and crying and the entire community is filming all of this and basically saying,

where are you taking them? Who are you? What is your name? What authority do you have to do this?

Where are their parents? And so it was a situation where if the roles had been slightly changed just a bit, there would

have been such a different reaction.
