The Michael Berry Show. Kim Og is the district attorney for Harris County.

And there's an arc to this story. It's not a straight line.

I knew Kim Og when she was the head of Kramstoppers and I was on City Council.

And if you had asked me

between 2001 and 2007, particularly the early part of that, if you'd asked me,

do you think Kim Og is going to run for district attorney? I'd say wouldn't surprise me.

Remember we had Devon Anderson, we had Pat Lycos. We had a series of Republican women.

And Kim Og, as head of Kramstoppers, was as law and order as there was. Put the bad guys away.

And if you'd asked me at that time if she was going to run for district attorney, I would have said,

and if she did what party I would have said, why would you ask that question as a Republican?

She's too conservative on law enforcement, which is the only thing that should matter for district

attorney. She's too conservative for the Democrats. And I think that if she were honest,

that would be true. So she runs, but she decides to run as a Democrat. And of course, she won.

Now, I don't know why she decided to run as a Democrat. Her dad was an elected official as a

Democrat, but way back when the Democrat party was very different, the county was beginning to

see some change. So there might have been the thought that the Democrat party is a future of

Harris. I don't know her calculus. We had fallen out of touch by that. But no animosity.

So she runs and as a Democrat district attorney in one of the largest few counties in the country,

she gets money from the Soros organization. Well, that pissed me off.

So she gets elected. And in pretty short order, she was acting like a Soros district attorney.

And then Lena Hadalgo gets elected. And Lena Hadalgo and Rodiniella start making a mockery

of the Harris County judiciary. And Kim Ogg, who I used to refer to as boss hog.
