1 Peter chapter 2 Lord willing we're going to finish chapter 2 today last week we

finished chapter 1 and so chapter 2 comes after chapter 1 we're out to a great start right

so now I'll ask you to stand but where you're seated is fine, especially because

it's kind of lengthy from verse 4 to verse 25.

Testament.

Okay, man. All right. the Apostle Peter verse 4 by the Holy Spirit is

writing and says as you come to him speaking of Jesus the living stone rejected by men

but chosen by God and precious to Him.

You also verse 5, like living stones are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy

priesthood offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ.

For in scripture it says verse 6, see I lay a stone in Zion, a chosen and precious

cornerstone and the one who trusts in him will never be put to shame.

Now to you who believe this stone is precious, but to those who do not believe, the stone the builders rejected has become the capstone,

and a stone, verse 8, that causes men to stumble and a rock that makes them fall.

They stumble because they disobey the message, which is also what they were destined for.

But, verse 9, you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God,
