And yes, there are many cases in which we can do this, right?

We can ask for a raise when we want one. We can politely communicate our preferences, even

There are so many ways with which we can advocate day to day.

But sometimes in life it's going to be a little bit more serious.

I was reading an article recently about a girl who was going to the doctor

again and again with a health condition and they said that they said they shed anxiety, right? They didn't say she was making it up exactly, but they said,

look, I think you have anxiety, there isn't a problem here. And it turned out there was a real problem,

and unless she had spoken up and she insisted on medical

attention she wouldn't have even lived two more months. That's how dangerous her condition was. I can't remember exactly what the condition was that she was living with, but it doesn't even matter.

She knew something was off. The experts were telling her she's fine and she's being a bit dramatic because she's so anxious and she said

I could have been the girl who died because I was too shy to speak up because I thought,

oh I don't want to be annoying, I don't want to look crazy, I don't want to be difficult.

When you just put it in such plain language like that, I'm like, ooh, yep, no one can do this for you, no one can step up for you but you. You know if you've listened to the
