I want to speak a message titled, When You Fast.

Moreover, when you fast, do not be like the hypocrites with the sad continents.

For they disfigure their faces and that they may appear to men to be fasting.

Assuredly I say to you, they have their reward. But you, when you fast, put on your

makeup, I mean, anoint your head and wash your face, meaning brush your teeth, look good.

You don't have to be sour. You don't have to appear fasting. Verse 18, so that you do not appear

to men to be fasting, but to your father who is in the secret place. And your father who sees in

the secret will reward you openly. Fasting has become a modern trend among the new ages, fitness instructors, and generally people

who are discovering the importance of eating healthy exercising and they're adding fasting.

Some even medical science is being pushed right now with some studies of the benefits,

health benefits to fasting. But fasting

is not a new phenomenon. Muslims practice fasting for a whole month called Ramadan where they stay

away from water, food, sex, from sunrise to sundown. Jewish people practice fasting one fast a year. God commanded for them to abstain from food, water and sexual relationships,

anything that provided pleasure for 24 hours under Yonka Por, which is a day of atonement.

Later on Jewish people added four more fasts, which had to do with destruction of temple, to commemorate,

to remember certain things. And so Egyptians fasted, Hindus fast, Buddhist fast, a lot of people

practice fasting. When it comes to Christians, Christian fast is slightly different. Now, I want to
