Well, my wife and I have been married almost 11 years, which means we started dating almost exactly 12 years ago. And for our second

date, we went to the State Fair of Texas. And while we were at the State Fair of Texas, we decided to

ride the Texas Skycoaster. And I don't know if you're familiar with the Texas Skycoaster,

but it's that thing where you kind of strap into these body harnesses and you're strapped up to each other.

And then this crane raises you about 189 feet in the air to where you're just dangling in midair.

And then a cord gets pulled and it becomes a swing.

I figured if anything was going to get our relationship heading in the right direction,

it was going to be the Texas sky coaster.

If you ever want to get to know someone really quickly,

then just ride the sky coaster with them,

because here's what you need to know about dating.

The first few dates are all about deception. They really are. The first few dates are all about controlling your appearance. It's about deception. So guys, you will go and clean out all of the Chick-fil-A bags from your back seat,

and you'll figure out how to work an iron because you want to provide the appearance that you're a clean person.

And ladies, when he drops you off at the end of the night, you're going to play it real cool and casual as if all your

roommates, the High Council, aren't standing right behind that door, ready to debrief

for hours about how it went.

See, the first few dates are all about deception.

It's all about controlling appearance, but man, you get on a sky coaster together and things change. You want to know

why? Because you find yourself in a position where you have zero control. It's always

interesting to see how people respond to being in situations where they have no control.
