Something really small can become something really big when it spreads one person at a time.

We've all been watching that happen as the coronavirus has spread person to person, region to region, and country to country.

But you know what else is spreading? Fear.

Even those who've not been infected by the physical virus have been susceptible to fear

in the midst of this crisis. Today we're going to look at the vaccine to fear, and that's

All this week, we've been studying Psalm 46 together. It's a powerful passage that reminds us

where to turn when the storms of life are raging around us.

We're all in need of this truth right now as our world is reeling in uncertainty.

We're calling this series A Mighty Fortress is Our God.

When I recorded this series, our audience was getting a firsthand object lesson. A storm rolled in,

and you may even hear some thunder in the background. Well, as our world and many of us as individuals

are being battered by powerful storms, we need to be reminded of some important truths. God is in control.

Heaven rules. Our fear can be replaced by faith in Him. You see, perfect love casts out fear, and this time of worldwide uncertainty

is a great opportunity for those who follow Jesus to let our love go viral as God's love flows to us and

through us to others. So if you find yourself being infected by that fear virus as you listen to all

the news reports and hear this being the constant topic of conversation, ask the Lord if there's a way he might want to flow his

love through you to others so that his love will go viral through us in this time. Now let's return

to Psalm 46. Just to reset where we are, let's look at verse one. We saw here that God is a stable,

secure, never-failing refuge.
